Any of our services can be combined into one contract or quoted individually.
Our spring clean-up service gives our clients’ site that much needed touch up following the winter months. While on site, our crews will remove leaves and winter debris from turf and planting bed areas. Concrete walks, drives and patios are also mechanically edged. It many cases shredded bark mulch is installed after clean up upon customer request.
A crisp, clean, and green lawn is crucial in conveying a professional image to your clients. It also gains dignity and a sense of pride at any home residence. As a result, our crews are well trained on how to properly maintain each client’s turf to ensure that it enhances the overall appearance of the property. Lawn areas will be cut weekly at a healthy, uniform height of 2.5″ to 3.75″. Grass around buildings, trees, planting beds and other objects will be trimmed, and concrete drives, curbs, walks and patios will be edged every other week if needed. Any excess grass clippings will be blown off drives, walks, lawn areas, and out of planting beds as well.
In an effort to protect the turf and maintain a clean appearance as leaves begin to fall, our fall clean-up service includes the removal of leaves, sticks and other debris from all lawn and planting bed areas. While some companies consider mulching the leaves back into the lawn a fall cleanup, we don’t. This practice can upset the Ph balance of the soil resulting in adverse effects on the turf. In addition, some leaves harbor fungi and bacterium which commonly cause problems in certain species of trees. Overwintering sites for many leaf disease fungi are eliminated by collecting and disposing of fallen leaves in autumn.
Fertilization and Weed Control
Proper fertilization plays an essential role in achieving healthy green turf. Our fertilization and weed control program consists of specially designed four step process.
First round application contains slow release fertilizer with pre-emergent crabgrass control and broadleaf weed control
Second round application contains non-burning fertilizer and weed control as needed
Third round application high nitrogen non-burning fertilizer and weed control as needed
Fourth round application contains balanced winter fertilizer and broadleaf weed control.
* Each visit is a two-step application. First is fertilizer and the second is weed control, for a total of 8 applications.
Tree and Shrub Pruning and Disease Control
It is extremely important that shrubs and ornamental trees be pruned to maintain a healthy, attractive plant. In addition to pruning services we also offer full deep root fertilization and insecticide for all types of plants, shrubs and ornamental trees.
Lawn Core Aeration
Even the healthiest lawns can benefit from core aeration. Core aeration is the removal of small cores of soil that allow air, moisture and fertilizer deep into the root zone of your lawn. It reduces compaction, increases organic activity and helps to slow thatch build up. We recommend that two aeration’s be done per year to create a healthier turf.
Shredded Bark Mulch (late March – early June)
Shredded bark mulch not only enhances the beauty of a landscape, it also helps retain moisture content in planting bed areas and it helps slow the weed growing process. When installing shredded bark mulch, our crews will redefine planting beds and tree rings with mechanical bed edger or spade shovel to create a crisp edge. We offer many different selections of mulch such as Red, Gold, Brown, Black, Natural, Hardwood Bark, Cedar, and more.
Planting Bed Weed Maintenance
Throughout the landscape maintenance season weeds are a big nuisance. To best control weed growth, we also offer Planting Bed Weed Maintenance programs. Treatments are made once every other week and our service technicians apply a non-selective herbicide or manually remove the weeds.
Seasonal Color Changes (season long process)
Planting annuals is an easy and rather inexpensive way to add a little color or attractive focal point to your landscape. Flowers and plants are typically installed in May and maintained throughout the season. Annuals are weeded and fertilized bi-weekly to maintain a clean appearance and encourage healthy growth.
